K'Willeminhuis was created by an iron duo Willem & Esther (father and daughter). Willem is 77 years old but always busy, even after his stroke he could hardly sit still. And despite his physical disability, which he suffered from his stroke, which caused damage to the right side of his body, he wanted to be busy and he started making fire pits for family and friends in his shed. The fun grew and grew and Willem also started to make other things, especially the combination of steel wire, iron and wood he became happy.
Esther saw her father busy and also became enthusiastic and began to make designs. It is not entirely surprising that Esther was gripped by this because Esther thought of everything as a child and her teenage room was full of cuttings from interior and fashion magazines. She preferred to change her room once a week and this passion has remained to this day.
Due to a major renovation, the idea arose to turn waste material from mainly remnants of iron into a beautiful traditional product. Unique products where there is no second, accessories for the home that are not the same. Sophisticated craft products that are not entirely perfect but just wobbly or even a bit crooked. The models that are conceived, are mainly accessories for the home, that the home accessories are "imperfect" gives the product its special charms.
This resulted in a golden duo, together Willem & Esther have the greatest pleasure. They work, sang and laugh and once it does not work out well, they just start again. A special story for special handmade industrial accessories.
